Loopy is your AI mentoring assistant, built right into Mentorloop to support mentors and mentees throughout their program. It provides guidance, answers your questions, and suggests helpful next steps based on where you are in your mentoring journey.

How can Loopy help me?

Loopy is designed to support you at every stage of your mentoring experience:

• Getting started — Setting up your profile, understanding how the program works, and preparing for your first meeting.
• Suggesting a mentor — Recommending profiles worth exploring based on your goals, background, and what you want from the program.

How do I access Loopy?

When Loopy is available in your program, you'll see the Loopy button in the bottom right corner of Mentorloop.

To open Loopy:

1. Look for the Loopy button (appears as a chat bubble) in the bottom right corner of most pages
   
2. Click the Loopy button to open the chat interface
3. Start typing your question or select a suggested topic

How do I use Loopy to find a mentor?

If your program uses Self Match and you're not sure where to start, Loopy can help. It can recommend profiles from your program based on the compatibility of your mentoring goals and expertise.

Try this prompt to get started:

"Based on my mentoring goals and expertise, can you suggest a mentor from my program who might be a great fit for me?"

Not all programs use Self Match. Check whether the "Find a match" option appears in the left sidebar under "Matching". If you're unsure, reach out to your Program Coordinator via your 1:1 loop.

How does Loopy handle my data and privacy?

Your privacy matters. Here's what you should know about how Loopy uses your information.

• Program-level enablement: Loopy is only available if enabled for your program.
• Program-specific data: Loopy may use information about your profile, goals, and activity within your program to provide relevant guidance.
• No access to private messages: Loopy cannot read private messages between you and your mentoring partner.
• Conversation visibility: Your Loopy conversations are not shared with your Program Coordinator or other participants.

When should I contact support or my Program Coordinator instead?

Loopy handles most everyday questions, but reach out to Mentorloop support or your Program Coordinator directly for:

• Technical issues or bugs
• Account access problems
• Concerns about safety or inappropriate behaviour
• Questions about program-specific policies or requirements
• Requests to change program settings or features

Troubleshooting

I don't see Loopy in my program

Loopy may not be enabled for your program yet. Contact your Program Coordinator if you'd like to request access.

Loopy isn't answering my question correctly

Try rephrasing your question with more detail. For questions about scheduling, booking, or rescheduling meetings, providing the specific type of meeting (e.g. recurring vs one-off) will help Loopy give you a more accurate answer. If Loopy still can't help, contact your Program Coordinator or Mentorloop support directly.

The Loopy button has disappeared

Try refreshing the page. If the button still doesn't appear, it may have been disabled for your program, or there may be a technical issue.

Can I turn off Loopy?

You can close the Loopy chat window by clicking the Minimise button at the top right. The Loopy icon will remain visible.
