At Mentorloop, we’re all about fostering meaningful mentoring connections—and gathering insights from mentors and mentees is key to ensuring your program’s success. Our built-in survey tool makes it easy to create and send surveys to your participants, allowing you to collect feedback at any stage of their mentoring journey.
These insights can help you measure program impact and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve the mentoring experience!
Survey Types
- Impact Surveys – great for sending at the start and end of the program, to measure program impact.
- Pulse Check Surveys– perfect as a regular point-in-time check-in to monitor participant feedback and success stories
- Net Promote Score Survey (NPS) – a simple and recognisable way to measure overall program satisfaction
How to Create a Survey
To access Surveys, navigate to the Sentiments page from the left hand navigation bar and click on the Survey tab and create new.
Choose a survey template
Select your chosen survey type, which will give you a templated set of questions that are relevant for that particular survey
Start Building
Enterprise Customers
Build your survey by customising the pre-created questions or adding your own. As an Enterprise Program Coordinator, your survey can include up to 10 survey questions.
Question types will include: Linear scale (emoji and numeral), multiple choice (single and multi select) and free text.
Pro Customers
As a Pro customer, you can create and send surveys using our pre-created survey templates. You will be able to select up to five questions from a question bank of pre-created questions from your build mode or here for a list of the questions.
As you create your survey, you can preview the survey 👁️ at any time.
Save a draft
If you're not ready to send your survey just yet, simply save it as a draft. Return anytime to continue editing or to send your survey.
Sending Surveys
The final step in building your survey, is selecting who to send your survey to via a drop-down menu. Currently, the recipients will only include the following options: Everyone, Mentors, Mentees or if applicable, Eithers.
You'll then have the option to customise the email template that participants will receive.
Survey Results & Insights
To view survey results at any time, select a survey from the table. A survey summary will be displayed at the top, displaying the critical information about when the survey was sent and to whom, including the response rate.
From here, you can also resend a survey. This triggers the survey email to be resent to any participants who have not yet submitted a response, as well as to any new participants who have joined your program.
Closing your survey
Once you're happy with your survey insights, you can close your survey. Once closed, no new participant responses can be submitted for that survey.
Analysing and exporting survey data
Within your particular survey, you'll find a summary of the results collated per question but also have access to a Responses tab which will also provide you with a table of all the responses from your participants - on hand and easy to report on.
Exporting
The Survey data can also can be exported in two file formats from the top right hand corner of the survey results page.
- A PDF of the visual report summary or,
- CSV file containing all individual survey responses.
Once a survey is closed, you can effortlessly generate a summarised analysis of responses to each free-text question by using the AI summary feature. Generate a summary by selecting the Generate AI summary button, once a survey has closed.
Participant view
When a survey is sent, participants will receive an email notification which includes a link to the survey. Similar to the post-meeting surveys, clicking the link will take the participant to a new page where they can complete the survey, without needing to log into Mentorloop.
