With Mentorloop’s Smart Matching Algorithm and the new 1:1 Loop View, it’s easy to review, approve, or dismiss suggested matches as a Program Coordinator. Here's how to manage draft matches efficiently and confidently.

What are Draft Matches? 

Draft matches are suggested mentor-mentee pairings that have not yet been made live. These may be:

• Generated by manual matching done by a Program Coordinator, or

• Created by Mentorloop’s Smart Matching Algorithm, which uses participant data to suggest potential pairings.

Draft Loops give you full control—you can review each pairing before deciding whether it should go live.

How to Approve or Dismiss draft matches

1. Navigate to the Loops Page
   
   
2. Filter for Draft Matches Only

   • Above the search bar, click on the filter Loop Status: 2 selected.

   • Untick the box beside Active

   • Click Done
     Now, only draft Loops will appear in the list.
     
     

3. Review Individual Draft Matches
   

   • Click on a draft Loop to see the mentor and mentee profiles side by side.

   • This 1:1 view helps you assess compatibility based on skills, goals, experience, and interests.
     
     

4. Approve or Dismiss
   

   • Approve: Click the Approve Match button. You’ll have the option to notify the mentor and mentee—and you can customise the email message before sending.

   • Dismiss: Click Dismiss Pairing. The Loop will be removed from drafts and participants will not be notified.

     💡 You can toggle between drafts using the buttons at the top of the Loop, or by using the left and right arrows on your keyboard. This makes reviewing multiple matches faster and more intuitive.

    

5. Bulk Approve Draft Matches

   • Select the checkboxes next to multiple draft Loops.

   • Click the Approve Draft Loops icon at the top of the list.

   • A confirmation pop-up will appear, giving you the option to notify participants in bulk.
