Recommended Reading lets you curate a list of up to 10 resources, articles, videos, or links, that participants see directly from their program dashboard. Mentorloop pre-populates this list with helpful mentoring resources, but you can replace or supplement these with content specific to your program and people.
Participants see Recommended Reading in their left sidebar.
You can tailor the list separately for mentors, mentees, or both roles. The list updates for participants as soon as you publish your changes.
How do I add resources to Recommended Reading?
- From the left sidebar of your coordinator dashboard, click Recommended reading.
- Select which participant group you're editing: mentors, mentees, or both.
- Click Add reading and give the resource a title.
- Click Link, paste the URL of the resource, then click Apply.
- Click Publish to save your changes and make them visible to participants.
To reorder your list, click and drag the = icon next to any item up or down.
Can I use my own resource links?
Yes. You're welcome to link to any content that suits your program, internal documents, recorded webinars, policy pages, or your own mentoring guides. Your resources will sit alongside or replace the Mentorloop defaults, depending on what you publish.

Can I upload documents or files directly?
Not directly, the feature only accepts URLs. Word documents, PDFs, and images can't be uploaded to the reading list, but you can link to them if they're hosted somewhere participants can access, such as Google Drive or SharePoint.
How many Recommended Readings can I add?
You can add up to 10 recommended readings per participant group (mentors, mentees, or both).
How often can I update Recommended Reading?
As often as you like. A common approach is to set an onboarding-focused list at program launch, then refresh it as participants move through key milestones, for example, swapping in resources about wrapping up relationships as your program nears its end date.
Can I go back to the original reading list?
Yes. Delete all the readings in a participant group and Mentorloop will automatically restore the default list for that group.
