The Sentiment page gives you real-time visibility into how your mentoring program is tracking. It surfaces feedback from mentors and mentees on their match quality, meeting experience, and overall progress, so you can act early and support participants where it matters most.
Who can see Sentiment data?
Sentiment responses are shared privately with you as the Program Coordinator and with Mentorloop. Individual participants cannot see each other's responses. Survey notifications are sent to participants by email and, if they have the Mentorloop mobile app installed, by push notification.
What survey types appear on the Sentiment page?
There are three standard survey types:
- Mentoring Quality Score (MQS) — measures match satisfaction between a mentor and mentee. Sent after 30 days of being matched, then every 60 days. Learn how to understand and improve your MQS.
- Post-Meeting Survey — captures how a meeting went. Sent after a participant launches a meeting within their loop.
- Close Loop Survey — sent when a mentoring relationship comes to an end, to understand why the loop closed. Also sent to any group loop closed by a Program Coordinator.
All survey notifications include the program name and logo in the email header, so participants can easily identify which program the survey relates to, useful when someone is part of more than one program.
The Sentiment page also shows a summary bar at the top with a live count of responses across all three survey types. You can search, filter, and export responses directly from the page.
What is the Surveys tab?
The Sentiment section includes two tabs: Sentiment (the standard survey feed described above) and Surveys. The Surveys tab is where you create and manage Custom Surveys, your own questionnaires distributed to participants at any point in the program journey. Learn more about Mentorloop Surveys.
Can I share sentiment data with others?
Participants share their feedback privately with you as Program Coordinator. You can use participant comments anonymously to promote your program internally or externally. If you want to share a comment with a participant's name attached, let them know beforehand. See how to use participant feedback to promote your program.
When does sentiment data start coming through?
MQS responses typically start arriving after participants have been matched for 30 days, then every 60 days after that. Post-Meeting Survey responses come through after participants launch meetings in their loops. Close Loop Survey responses arrive when a loop is closed.
What if a participant wants to change their score?
Participants can correct their own score without needing to contact you or Mentorloop. If someone reaches out about a wrong rating, point them to either of these options:
- From the original survey email — if they still have it in their inbox, they can click the correct score directly in that email. This works for around 7 days after the meeting.
- From their loop — they can head to their loop in the Mentorloop app, find the meeting, and resubmit their survey from there.
What do I do if I receive a poor survey response?
When feedback comes in, you can view both the score and any written comment directly on the Sentiment page, then decide whether to reach out to the participant. The Program Management Playbook includes suggested communications for responding to negative feedback.
How do I access the Sentiment page?
Select Sentiment from the left sidebar within your program. You can also see a sentiment summary on your PC Dashboard, click through to view the full feed of survey responses.
