How to create a Zoom account

Integrating a Zoom account with Mentorloop is helpful for making meeting with your mentor or mentee more seamless. It will enable you to quickly and easily set up virtual session by automatically adding unique a Zoom link to the meeting event in Mentorloop. If you don't yet have a Zoom account, this article will help you get set up.

I don't have a Zoom account yet. How do I create one? 

  • Sign up to Zoom here

  • Enter your email address and click "sign up"

  • An email will be triggered. Click the confirmation link in that email to complete your account set up and begin using Zoom 

Does my Zoom account need to be registered with the same email address on my Mentorloop account?

Nope! Your linked Zoom account can have a different email address. 

How much does Zoom cost?

A basic Zoom account is free. You can find out more about available Zoom plans and pricing here

Do I have to have a webcam to join on Zoom?

While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting or Webinar, you will not be able to share video of yourself. You will continue to be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view the webcam video of other participants.
