Finding a time to meet is much easier when you can see each other's availability. Connecting your calendar lets you and your mentoring partner schedule meetings without the endless back-and-forth.
Why connect your calendar to Mentorloop?
Connecting your calendar lets you and your mentoring partner see each other's availability and schedule meetings directly, which is especially helpful when you're in different organisations without shared calendars. Mentorloop uses Cronofy to connect your calendar of choice securely.
How to connect your calendar with Mentorloop
Step 1
Log into your account, navigate to your profile at the top right, and select Integrations. Under Calendars, select the provider you'd like to connect.
Using a Microsoft account? If you use a work email with Microsoft, try the Office 365 or Exchange providers. If you use a personal email with Microsoft, try the Outlook.com provider.
Step 2
Link your account by approving Cronofy.
Step 3
Success! Your calendar is now connected to Mentorloop. Head to your Loop to schedule a meeting.
Editing your availability
If you don't already have working hours set in your email settings, the calendar integration defaults your availability to Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Feel free to update this to suit your schedule.
What if I can't connect my calendar?
If you're unable to connect your calendar for any reason, you can still add meeting events manually. Schedule your meeting within your 1:1 Loop, then select either Outlook/iCal or Google Calendar to add the event to your own calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to connect my calendar?
Yes. Mentorloop uses Cronofy, a secure calendar connection service, to link your calendar. The integration is designed to help you and your mentoring partner find suitable times to meet based on your availability.
Which provider should I choose for a Microsoft account?
It depends on your email type. For a Microsoft work or school email, choose Office 365 or Exchange. For a personal Microsoft email, choose Outlook.com. If one doesn't connect, try the alternative.
What are my default availability hours?
If you haven't set working hours in your email settings, your availability defaults to Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. You can update this at any time in your integration settings to reflect when you're actually free to meet.
