In Mentorloop, we call the match between a mentor and mentee, a "loop". Loops can be individual or Group based. Go here to learn more about Group Loops, or read on for information about 1:1 Loops.

Mentoring in one place

A 1:1 loop is where you can record the happenings of your mentoring relationship with your mentor or mentee. Once you are matched with a mentor or mentee, you have access to a private 1:1 loop, from where you can:

The beauty of this loop is that, over time, it becomes your online journal that gives you an overview of your mentoring experience to date.

Mentorloop allows for multiple connections so if you have more than one match, you will have separate 1:1 Loops - making it easier for you to manage your communications. You also have a 1:1 loop with your Program Coordinator as well if you need to reach out.

Seamless conversation

When you receive notifications of actions within your 1:1 loop via your email, you can reply directly from the email notification — no need to log in each time. Your reply will be captured in your 1:1 loop, keeping everything in one place and making it easy to stay connected.

Here are a few examples of email notifications you can reply to directly from your inbox:

  • A new message from your mentor or mentee
  • New meeting scheduled with your mentor or mentee
  • Comments on shared goals or meeting notes
  • A message from your Program Coordinator
  • File shares or follow-ups after a scheduled meeting

Reply in thread process

This makes it easy to stay in the loop and keep the conversation flowing, no matter where you are.
